The CLT single family house ‘Kea Boumanstraat‘ has been featured in the latest Timber Buildings S/M/L book by Detail Magazine. The book showcases 30 sustainable and holistic projects built with timber as its main construction material. Buy the book at Detail’s website.

Update: Steupel CLT-house
The building permit for our design for a sustainable CLT single family house in Reeuwijk has been granted recently. We are now in the process of making the working drawings and hope to start building in the second quarter of 2023. For more information visit the project page here.

Update: WijCK Pijnacker
The VO-phase of WijCK Pijnacker has been finalised with the approval of the design by the supervisory team. With the signing of the contract between Dura Vermeer and the municipality the development of 330 apartments and a mobility hub enters the next phase. Construction is to start by the end of 2023.

Update: Short Stay Enka
The renovation of the former medical post of the Enka factory in Ede is nearing completion. The nationally listed monument has been transformed to incorporate eight small short-stay apartments and a restaurant, serving both the tenants and the neighbourhood. Visit the project page for more information.

Update: Fluor/Elements
After the first block is almost finished, Dura Vermeer announced the start of the second phase of Fluor/Elements in Haarlem: ten townhouses and eight lofts will complete the western edge of the redevelopment of the former Fluor site in Haarlem Schalkwijk. More information here: sales website.

New project: social housing
Two opposed L-shaped blocks with a wide timber veranda negotiating a sloping plot at the edge of the Veluwe National Park might not be your average site for a social housing project. The exceptional qualities of this site give us the opportunity to develop a scheme that seeks maximum interaction with its lush green surroundings.

Recognition: Goudvink
The ‘Goudvink’ social housing project was preselected for the Zuiderkerkprijs. The prize awards the best housing project built in Amsterdam in the previous year. With stiff competition from a few spectacular projects, we did not make it to the top three, but non the less we are proud of this recognition.

New project: coffee shop Bellamy
We got the commission to design a new interior and facade for coffeeshop Bellamy, a household name in Rotterdam since it was established in 1986. The design aims to open up the shop front to the street and with a spectacular reflective ceiling multiplies the spatial experience of the interior.

New project: Multitenant Timber Building
Our ongoing involvement in the development of the World Food Center in Ede has lead to another commission for a sustainable timber multi-tenant building. This L-shaped 8000m2 building aims to house innovative companies and sustainable startups in the agro-tech sector.
